What is Higgs field?
Everything what we see is made up of atoms, inside of which are electrons, protons and neutrons. And those, in turn, are made of quarks and other subatomic particles. Scientists have wondered how these tiny building blocks of the universe acquire mass. Without mass, the particles wouldn’t hold together — and there would be no physical matter to exists.
One theory proposed by British physicist Peter Higgs and teams in Belgium and the United States nearly a half-century ago is that a new particle must be creating a “sticky” energy field that acts as a drag on other particles. The atom-smashing experiments have now confirmed that this particle exists in a form that is similar to what was proposed.

CERN, GENEVA
Scientists working at the world’s biggest atom smasher near Geneva have announced they are confident that the new subatomic particle discovered is a version of the long-sought Higgs boson. The particle bears key attributes of the so-called “God particle” that was theorized nearly a half-century ago as fundamental to the creation of the universe. It took thousands of scientists from around the world to find the particle in the atom-smasher operated by CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
As per modern scientist – Higgs boson is popularly referred as “The God particle” as they give their mass to other particles. Higgs boson is the basic and fundamental building blocks of atom and its subatomic particles also. As told earlier without Higgs nothing can possible to exists including this whole universe, our human body, etc… ie, impossible to our soul to gain experience, soul will always be in darkness as we are in deep sleep without any thoughts…

Researchers represent higgs in yellow color hairy structure as shown in the below figure.
The most appropriate length scale I’d associate with the Higgs is about 10^{-17} m, which is about 1/100th the size of a proton. This is the Compton wavelength associated with a mass of 125 GeV. The Higgs boson is a resonance, though, so it doesn’t just sit around like protons do. As soon as a Higgs boson is created/separated by proton collision experiment, it almost immediately decays into other particles—so it doesn’t really have a “size”.
Shiva-Nataraja at CERN
On June 18, 2004, an unusual new landmark was unveiled at CERN, the European Center for Research in Particle Physics in Geneva — a 2m tall statue of the Indian deity Shiva Nataraja, the Lord of Dance.
The statue, symbolizing Shiva’s cosmic dance of creation and destruction, was given to CERN by the Indian government to celebrate the research center’s long association with India.Shiva Nataraja, the Indian government acknowledged the profound significance of the metaphor of Shiva’s dance for the cosmic dance of subatomic particles, which is observed and analyzed by CERN’s physicists.
Shiva’s dance and the dance of subatomic particles
The parallel between Shiva’s dance and the dance of subatomic particles was first discussed by Fritjof Capra in an article titled “The Dance of Shiva: The Hindu View of Matter in the Light of Modern Physics,” published in Main Currents in Modern Thought in 1972. Shiva’s cosmic dance then became a central metaphor in Capra’s international bestseller The Tao of Physics, first published in 1975 and still in print in over 40 editions around the world.
“The Dance of Shiva: The Hindu View of Matter in the Light of Modern Physics,” and later in the The Tao of Physics beautifully relates Nataraj’s dance with modern physics. He says that “every subatomic particle not only performs an energy dance, but also is an energy dance a pulsating process of creation and destruction…without end…For the modern physicists, then Shiva’s dance is the dance of subatomic matter. As in Hindu mythology, it is a continual dance of creation and destruction involving the whole cosmos the basis of all existence and of all natural phenomena.

To speak of the size of jiva It is like this:
Split a cow’s hair soft Into a hundred tiny parts
And each part into a thousand parts divide
The size of jiva is that one of part of dividing above part into four thousand.
சிவனுடைய வடிவைச் சொல்ல வேண்டுமென்றால் ஒரு பசுவின் முடியை எடுத்து அதை நூறாகக் கூறிட்டு, பின்பு அதில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து ஆயிரமாகப் பிரித்து, பின் அதில் ஒன்றை நான்காயிரமாக பிரித்தால் அதில் ஒன்றே சிவனின் வடிவு.
